Tomorrow I will board and plane to Columbus, Ohio, meet my sister, pick up a rental car and drive to Athens, Ohio for the SAQA conference and the opening of the Quilt National '05 show at The Dairy Barn. This is probably going to be the one and only time in my life that I will have an opportunity to be part of something so grand, and the excitement I feel is a combination of nervousness, insecurity and, well, maybe, just a little bit of pride.

I am an artist and a musician with two grown up sons and one daughter-in-law. I live with my husband, three dogs and two cats in a big house with a koi pond in the backyard. I'm currently looking for a new job. I've got all these skills, both old and new and I'd make someone a cracker jack office manager/web designer /content writer/ photographer/ all round creative. The end is in sight on another college degree. I'm studying multi-media communications and technical writing to complement my fashion design degree.
